About the Job
Musket and Trillium are seeking a Compliance Manager to lead their trade surveillance and compliance programs. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, middle office, or legal roles. Experience in trading organizations, financial services, or legal firms is preferred. A strong understanding of commodities/energy markets, along with leadership, communication, and presentation skills, is essential.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with trading, legal, risk, and accounting teams to ensure regulatory compliance. Develop and improve policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate compliance risks. Oversee the review, analysis, and reporting of internal trade surveillance results. Respond to alerts from internal compliance systems and report findings. Lead investigations and reviews of trading activities for compliance issues. Coordinate with legal to handle regulatory inquiries and investigations. Conduct routine compliance training sessions. Manage process improvements and compliance-related projects. Supervise and mentor the compliance team, including training junior staff. Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; MLS or JD preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in compliance, audit, middle office, or legal roles.
- Experience in trading organizations, financial services, or legal firms is preferred.
- Knowledge of oil, refined products, NGL, and/or biofuel markets is a plus.
- Strong understanding of commodities and energy markets.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to the business.
- Familiarity with RightAngle or similar ETRM systems is preferred.

- Manual dexterity for operating a computer and related equipment.
