Location: 946 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA (steps from the Convention Center on Restaurant Row)

We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef to lead the kitchen at Spork Island TradingCompany, a brand-new tiki bar and restaurant opening in February 2026. This one-of-a-kind concept combines an immersive tiki atmosphere with a menu designed around yakitori grilled over traditional binchotan charcoal.

• Location: Prime spot on Penn Ave, just steps from the Convention Center

• Size: 4,200 sq. ft. with 70 seats and 18 bar stools

• Feature: Custom-built open grilling area for yakitori at the front of the restaurant

• Concept: Full tiki dining and cocktail experience, crafted with meticulous attention to detail

We are looking for a chef who will:

• Develop the complete yakitori menu cooked over binchotan charcoal

• Create the main dining menu to complement our cocktail program

• Bring innovation, technique, and leadership to a unique, high-profile opening

• Work closely with ownership to shape the culinary vision

Spork Island is the latest venture from Pittsburgh restauranteurs Steve Zumoff and Andy Tepper, with decades of experience owning and operating successful restaurants in the city. This project is a passion-driven creation an immersive tiki adventure where food, drink, and atmosphere come together.
