We are recruiting for a Primary Teacher for a Primary School in Standish, Wigan (WN6) to work on a long-term basis starting Monday 15th April 2024!

The Year 6 Teacher role is to start Monday 15th April 2024 and running until the end of July 2024. This role is working 5 x full days per week Monday to Friday 08:30am- 16:00pm. There are 29 children in the class and there is one full-time TA working on a one to one basis with an SEND child. The school would like someone who has previous KS2 teaching experience and preferably experience of year 6 SATs.

Your role & responsibilities:

• Supervising the students in class, ensuring they complete set task
• Guiding students through the curriculum, marking working, setting home working tasks
• Managing behaviour
• Upholding school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons

Non-negotiables:

• You must have relevant experience teaching pupils
• Hold QTS
• Knowledge of the national curriculum
• Be passionate and understanding
• Have confidence in managing classes of pupils
• Excellent organisational skills to keep on top of marking and lesson planning
• Good communication skills
