Hays Education is currently recruiting for a passionate Year 5 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. This long-term temporary role will run from September to December 2025, with the potential for extension.Your new roleAs a Year 5 Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment for your pupils. You will be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Year 5.
• Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and progress.
• Assessing and tracking student development, providing feedback and support where needed.
• Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a safe and respectful learning space.
