About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Year?4 classroom. You will collaborate with the class teacher to facilitate engaging lessons, deliver small-group or one-to-one support, and help nurture a positive, inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and wider curriculum delivery in class.
- Providing tailored support to individuals and small groups under teacher guidance.
- Preparing and managing teaching materials and classroom resources.
- Monitoring and reporting pupil progress and behaviour.
- Promoting positive social and emotional development amongst pupils.
This role typifies primary TA positions in Mitcham, where daily rates for supply and temporary roles generally fall between £95 and £110,
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 2 / Year?4.
- A calm, patient, and positive demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- GCSEs (C/4 or above) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications. NVQ Level?2/3 or CACHE qualifications in Supporting Teaching & Learning are desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS certification (or willingness to obtain), and legal right to work in the UK.
