Year 2 Primary Teacher - Tradewind Recruitment : Job Details

We are seeking an enthusiastic and vibrant teacher to join a supportive one-form school in Tameside. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Year 2 teacher to join this school in September 2024 for the academic year.

The school believes in supporting pupils in their academic, physical, social and emotional development, including their well-being. The school has developed a curriculum that is engaging, balanced and relevant and designed to developed the whole child. As a Year 2 teacher, you will be required to design and deliver engaging lessons that are aligned to the national curriculum. Previous experience with teaching phonics and with Little Wandle Letters and Sounds would be beneficial. The school also uses schemes such as Word Aware, NCETM and White Rose Maths to support teaching and learning.

This one-form entry school has consistently maintained an Ofsted rating of 'good' and the school provides a range of extra-curricular clubs to build a sense of community as well as develop an inclusive environment.

Each class has the support of a teaching assistant and there are detailed long-term and medium-term plans in place. This full time Year 2 role begin in September 2024 and you will be required for to complete the academic year, but this role could also become permanent. This exciting position will pay £140-200 per day, subject to experience.

Essential requirements:

• Have Qualified Teacher Status
• Teaching experience in the United Kingdom
• Experience in Key Stage 2 is essential in this role
• A proven track record with references to support this
