Workshop Supervisor – Campervan ConversionsSalary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm (flexible)Location: Derbyshire (near Ashbourne and surrounding areas)

Are you an experienced workshop supervisor who’s just as happy on the tools as you are leading a team? This is a rare opportunity to join an exciting new venture at the ground floor, shaping both the workshop and the future of a premium brand in the campervan conversion industry.

We’re looking for someone who has managed a workshop environment but is also ready to roll up their sleeves and carry out the hands-on build work. As this is a start-up, you’ll be pivotal in setting up systems and processes, supporting with design and innovation, and helping to develop a streamlined, systemised build model using modern tools and CNC machinery.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supervising daily workshop activity, ensuring high standards of quality and safety

  • Getting hands-on with all aspects of campervan builds (joinery, electrics, plumbing, trimming, detailing)

  • Operating or learning to operate CNC routing machinery to support cabinet and component production

  • Supporting Directors in developing workshop systems and processes to enable scale and efficiency

  • Working closely with suppliers, customers and early team members

  • Helping recruit and train future workshop staff as the business grows

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Technician in a practical, build-focused environment

  • Hands-on skills in joinery, cabinetry, electrical systems, plumbing, fabrication or similar

  • Industry background in campervan conversions, boat fitting, vehicle conversions, modular builds or similar highly transferable sectors

  • Strong leadership qualities, able to motivate and direct others

  • A practical problem solver who takes pride in craftsmanship and detail

  • Flexible, proactive and excited about growing with a start-up business
