Workshop Engineer - Kridan Handling : Job Details

We are looking for a Workshop Engineer to join us at Kridan Handling, a North-Yorkshire based, family-run firm established over 28 years ago. Along with a basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum, we also offer overtime opportunities (taking your salary up to £40,000), access to a shared work van and private vitality healthcare. We offer sales, servicing, repair and hire facilities and provide an honest, reliable service that's always available when you need us. We provide a comprehensive range of access equipment including cherry pickers, scissor lifts and associated access equipment. We also offer new, used and ex-demonstration forklifts and manual handling machinery to fit most budgets, all backed up by our comprehensive pre- and post-sales support and extensive workshop facilities. What you’ll do as Workshop Engineer at Kridan Handling:

• Carrying out maintenance, new machine PDI’s and refurbishment & larger scale repairs within our workshops near York.
• Taking responsibility for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards are met.
• Providing technical assistance to workshop staff, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and offering guidance on proper usage and maintenance procedures.
• Overseeing quality control measures, ensuring that all products manufactured or repaired in the workshop meet specified standards and comply with relevant regulations
• Managing inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and materials necessary for operations, ensuring adequate supplies are available to support ongoing projects while minimising waste and cost.
• Enforcing safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, promoting a culture of safety among personnel.

At Kridan Handling, we’re looking for a Workshop Engineer with:

• A valid driving license
• Previous experience in our related mechanical industry.
• Equipment operator licenses (preferred)
• Thorough examination inspection (LOLER & PUWER regs) trained (beneficial)
• Ideally based within 20 miles of Barton Hill.
