Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a new food snack start up in the heart of London. Due to some great growth they are seeking a Wholesale Sales Manager to come on board full time.

Field Sales & Sampling Manager – Wholesale / Cash & Carry / Independent Retail

£30k-£35k

I am working with a snacking start up with two exciting brands recently launched. We have in our first three months of active sales achieved listings in large national retail chains and we are looking for the right person to help us expand into new spaces.

Role Details:

Salary: £30K-£35k a year (DOE)

Annual performance Related Bonus.

Pension contribution.

Working Hours: 40 Hours per week.

20 days paid leave all UK bank holidays.

Office location – Vauxhall, London.

Field Based 3-4 days plus Office 1-2 days a week in Vauxhall London.

Equipment Provided - laptop, mobile phone, travel allowance and expenses.

Proficient in Microsoft office – word, excel, PP.

The Role:

  • Drive field sales to create demand in the Wholesale and Cash and Carry sector. Develop and implement the sales strategy for the sector working closely with the Lama sales team.
  • Are the face of our brands, forging unbreakable relationships with key decision makers in the wholesale and convenience sector in the UK with the ability to deliver world class customer service.
  • Are responsible for fulfilling distribution, availability and visibility targets. Using your entrepreneurial mindset, you will manage and drive the success.
  • Will maximise brand awareness, educate clients on new product opportunities and implement store activations.
  • Will have the autonomy to work using your own initiative and effectively manage your own workload to achieve targets and could qualify for exciting incentives. You are expected to be out of the office a minimum of 3 days a week. You are expected to deliver weekly reports and detailed journey plans.
  • Will receive full product training and ongoing support to enable you to fulfil the role to your best potential, with clear development opportunities for engaged employees.

Who are we looking for?

You will possess demonstrable experience within a sales environment, although we will also consider applications from motivated individuals with experience from other sectors. You will be passionate about the amazing brands we sell and have the drive and tenacity to succeed. You will be agile, flexible and understanding of the changing needs of a startup new business.

Knowledge of the UK snacking sector or FMCG is a bonus.
