Join our team as an Engineering Lecturer and contribute to the high-quality education in welding and fabrication. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering effective teaching and learning experiences in engineering disciplines, particularly in MIG/TIG welding, fabrication, platework, and hand fitting specialisations.

• Develop and deliver educational programmes in engineering, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and the creation of high-quality study materials.
• Employ a variety of teaching and learning methods to provide high-quality learning experiences.
• Maintain current, evidence-based teaching practices consistent with high standards.
• Provide both academic and pastoral support to students, fostering an environment conducive to learning and progression.
• Manage student issues effectively within agreed protocols.
• Conduct employer and workplace visits, and supervise work placements.
• Offer educational guidance and counselling, and personal tutoring which may include individual reviews and group or individual tutorials, delivered in-person or through distance learning.

• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to achieve one within 2 years.
• Level 3 qualification in the subject area of engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification industry experience in the subject area.
• Experience in facilitating learning for students or apprentices in an educational or workplace setting.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in the field of expertise.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience, with the ability to work effectively with students of all ages.
