Job Title: Welder / FabricatorLocation: Weymouth / Portland, DorsetSalary £35,000 - £40,000We are seeking skilled and dedicated Welder / Fabricators to join an engineering business located in the Weymouth and Portland. This is a hands-on, role ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, there maybe be some travel required, however you must be able to travel to Weymouth daily.As a Welder / Fabricator you will be working as part of a team, responsible for delivering high-quality welding and fabrication work across various projects. In addition to your technical duties, you'll also be helping in mentoring less experienced colleagues-sharing your knowledge and helping them grow.Key Responsibilities of a Welder / Fabricator Carry out MIG and MMA welding on both aluminium and steel to a high standard.Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet structural and aesthetic quality benchmarksAssist with fabrication tasks in both workshop and on-site settings, ensuring timely and safe deliveryProvide hands-on mentoring and training to junior team members-offering constructive feedback and demonstrating best practicesContribute to maintaining a strong health and safety culture across the workplaceTackle a variety of marine engineering and fabrication tasks as project needs evolveEssential Skills and Experience Of a Welder / Fabricator Time-served or experienced Welder/Fabricator with a background in both steel and aluminium weldingProficient in MIG and MMA welding techniquesCommitted to working safely and maintaining high quality control standardsReliable and able to commute to the Weymouth / Portland area dailyComfortable working in a mix of indoor and outdoor site conditionsA proactive and supportive team player who enjoys helping others develop their skills
