Waste/ Recycling Operative with FLT - MTrec Recruitment : Job Details

• MTrec Recruitment are currently recruiting for a prestigious company in the Consett area.

The Job Role You Will Do;

• Operating waste balers and compactors.
• Preventing shortages by ensuring containers and storage capacity are maintained.
• Carrying out litter picking and keeping the site clean and safe.
• Managing waste and recycling storage areas to a high standard of housekeeping.
• Handling hazardous waste, ensuring it’s labelled, stored, and disposed of correctly.
• Managing WEEE waste storage and collections.
• Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth waste management processes.
• Following 6S principles and reporting hazards, near misses, and safety concerns.
• Supporting health and safety on site by working safely and leading by example.
• Carrying out other reasonable tasks as required.

About You;

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence (essential).
• Experience operating a forklift in a busy environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and meet deadlines.
• A proactive, safety-first approach.
