Warehouse Team Leader - M4 Recruitment Limited : Job Details

Are you an experienced warehouse professional with a background in chilled logistics, or food manufacturing? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and capable Chilled Warehouse Team Leader to join a well-established, high-volume warehouse and distribution operation based in Tewkesbury.

This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a passion for maintaining operational excellence in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

Working Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 on a rotating shift pattern (various start times from 06:00)

As a Chilled Warehouse Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in overseeing daily operations in a busy chilled warehouse. You will lead a team of operatives to ensure the accurate and timely receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching of chilled products. You’ll be responsible for upholding high standards in safety, quality, and team performance while meeting tight logistics deadlines.

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to meet operational targets
• Manage stock movement and accuracy, ensuring correct product codes match picking tickets
• Oversee safe and efficient loading/unloading of vehicles
• Ensure safe manual handling practices and adherence to health and safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the chilled warehouse
• Support training and development of team members
• Step in to support the Warehouse Supervisor when required

• Proven experience in a warehouse environment (ideally chilled, FMCG, food manufacturing, or logistics)
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a problem-solving mindset
• Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
• Flexibility to work across different shifts, including early starts
• Solid understanding of safe working practices and food hygiene
• Ideally hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift or PPT license (training available for the right candidate)
