Job Title: Tech Centre – Warehouse Team LeaderLocation: Feltham, AshfordSalary: £34,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (1 hour paid lunch)Role Summary: As the Tech Centre – Team Leader, you will support the UK Service & Installation Manager and the Installation Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Tech Centre. Your primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate the technical warehouse operatives, ensuring that tasks are efficiently allocated and operations run smoothly and compliantly.Key Responsibilities:Team & Operations Management:
- Day-to-day supervision and task allocation for technical warehouse staff.
- Monitor team performance and escalate issues to management.
- Maintain team motivation and efficiency in a high-tech warehouse environment.
- Oversee loading and unloading processes and ensure workspace is organised.
Radiation Protection & Safety:
- Ensure the team complies with Radiation Protection procedures and badge reporting.
- Serve as or support the Radiation Protection Supervisor role.
- Provide Safety Data Sheets to the H&S Manager for chemicals used on-site.
- Uphold Health & Safety policies and contribute to ISO9001 & ISO14001 standards.
System & Stock Control:
- Maintain high accuracy in record-keeping across multiple systems (Oracle, FM, DEMS, Elton).
- Manage customer toolkits, consumables, and stock control procedures.
- Perform and support stock checks, audits, and investigations of damaged/missing stock.
- Update and maintain equipment configurations and job tracking systems.
Customer & Engineer Support:
- Liaise with internal coordination teams for smooth job flow.
- Assist visiting customer engineers and escalate service issues when necessary.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM) for new demo systems.
- Complete engineering timesheets accurately and promptly.
Continuous Improvement:
- Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
- Support audit processes (internal/external) and ensure KPI reporting is up to date.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Senior Warehouse Operator in a high-value, technical environment.
- IT & Systems: Strong IT skills and experience with warehouse management systems (e.g., Oracle, FM, DEMS).
- Customer Service: Confident working directly with customers; commercially aware.
- Leadership: Proven people management and organisational skills.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication; team-focused with initiative.
- Flexibility: Adaptable and hands-on approach; willing to work across sites if required.
- H&S Knowledge: Awareness of relevant Health & Safety legislation.
