About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy warehouse operation in Wakefield. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring all goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard.Key Responsibilities• Supervise daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch.• Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse operatives to achieve KPIs and service levels.• Monitor stock accuracy and support regular cycle counts and stock checks.• Ensure all health & safety standards and company policies are strictly adhered to.• Allocate workloads, manage shift planning, and provide clear communication to staff.• Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.• Liaise with transport, logistics, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.• Report on performance metrics and escalate issues to management where necessary.Skills & Experience Required• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role (essential).• Strong leadership and people management skills.• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.• Good understanding of health & safety procedures in a warehouse environment.• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.• Flexibility to work different shifts if required.What We Offer• Competitive salary (dependent on experience).• Opportunities for progression and professional development.• A supportive team environment.• Company pension scheme and other benefits.________________________________________
