Job Description :

Warehouse Goods-in and Despatch Operative

  • Co-ordination and handling of all inbound traffic from Door to storage location
  • Preparing and planning daily pick and pack work-loads for daily processing
  • Planning and completing carrier workloads for despatch, from parcel to palletised deliveries
  • Co-ordination of export deliveries and preparing relevant export documentation
  • Storage planning and space consolidations in preparation for incoming traffic
  • Administration of despatch and goods-in records
  • WMS System stock checks and relevant administration
Role overview
  • Loading and unloading of vehicles via Counterbalance FLT
  • Booking in goods onto SAP system
  • Stock location and storage into warehouse racking / shelving via Narrow Aisle FLT
  • Providing support to colleagues with Order picking, checking, packing and delivery presentation
  • Labelling goods in line with our CLP process
  • Housekeeping and cleanliness of the warehouse in line with our set standards and procedures
  • Any other requests deemed fit for purpose in line with business requirement

Responsibilities

Goods-in and Goods-out

  • Use Company processes for goods receipts
  • Use Company processes for goods dispatching
  • Work within the small team to add value to our quality process for right first-time targets
  • Assist with all stock movements manually and via mechanical handling equipment
  • Dealing with colleague’s enquiries for stock checks and accuracy investigations
  • Liaise with Carriers for dispatches and load planning
  • Work closely with our transport partner for load planning and preparation
  • Demonstrate a strong awareness of and commitment to Ethics & Compliance in the warehouse and adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Comply with on-site health and safety always

Skills required

Background/experience

  • FLT license – minimum counterbalance with Bendi preferable
  • Experience of using MS Office including Excel
  • Demonstrable background in providing excellent customer service
  • Experience in warehousing for both goods-in and goods-out functions
  • Logistics experience dealing with exports shipments / documents
