Warehouse Operative - Join Our Growing Team

Hours: Full-Time (37.5 hours/week, shift-based)

Salary: £27,000

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to support a busy logistics operation. You’ll play a key role in ensuring cargo is handled with care and precision, contributing directly to the smooth flow of goods through the warehouse.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Loading and unloading freight safely using a forklift truck (FLT)
• Checking and documenting incoming and outgoing cargo, reporting any shortages or damages
• Following all warehouse procedures and health & safety standards
• Ensuring cargo is stored securely and correctly while in your care
• Performing daily forklift checks and ensuring equipment is maintained and charged
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and hazard-free
• Booking in goods accurately, checking dimensions and reporting to the relevant departments
• Ensuring vehicles are handled promptly and professionally
• Wearing appropriate PPE (hi-vis and safety footwear) at all times

Working Hours:

You’ll work 37.5 hours per week across rotating shifts between 06:00 and 20:00:

• Shift 1: 06:00 - 14:30
• Shift 2: 09:00 - 17:30
• Shift 3: 11:30 - 20:00

Flexibility is essential - occasional weekend or out-of-hours work may be required, including a Saturday shift on a rota basis.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid FLT licence and experience operating forklifts
• A strong eye for detail and pride in your work
• Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions
• Clear 5-year employment history (essential for security clearance)
• Willingness to undergo a DBS check
• Understanding of warehouse safety and compliance standards
