Warehouse Manager - Requirements
- Previous experience managing a warehouse or production environment (ideally within food, building supplies or FMCG manufacturing environments).
- Valid FLT licence and proven operating experience.
- Strong organisational and stock-control skills with attention to detail.
- Clear, confident communicator with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
- Good knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe working practices.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Ability to see the bigger picture and not be afraid of the challenge to get there
Warehouse Manager - Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure everything runs smoothly, safely and on time.
- Oversee packing of finished products to meet quality and customer standards.
- Conduct daily warehouse checks on cleanliness, equipment and safety compliance
- Manage stock control: maintain accurate records, monitor levels, run regular counts and report discrepancies.
- Manage the loading and unloading of deliveries, using forklift trucks (FLT) when needed.
- Work closely with production, raw-materials and logistics teams to guarantee smooth workflow and timely dispatch.
- Champion health, safety and hygiene policies.
- Coach, support and train warehouse operatives to improve skills, efficiency and teamwork.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes, to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
