Warehouse Logistics Administrator - Freight Personnel : Job Details

We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Logistics Administrator working for a global freight forwarder based in Altrincham. Your role will be to support the day-to-day warehouse and fork lift operations for all freight & stock arrivals and departures.Key duties and responsibilities: * Maintain a safe working environment by applying a 'Safety First' approach to working.* Ensure all equipment and areas of the warehouse are clean, tidy and orderly.* Daily checks of all mechanical equipment to ensure they are safe to use.* Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, checking against notes to ensure accuracy of receipt or dispatch of goods.* Quality - Ensure the inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances to the Warehouse supervisor.* Raise concerns/issues with Warehouse supervisor as soon as they are noted.* Booking in of all incoming stock and storing in a safe manner. Ensuring these are put in the correct locations.* Order Picking - Pick and prepare products for shipping, ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.* Use of Bar-Code scanners where appropriate * Assisting in all warehouse roles, not just one primary role.* Flexibility with hours to suit the company requirements.Person Specification:* Warehouse experience gained from a freight forwarder/manufacturer or related sector* Team player.* Takes responsibility for developing their own ability.* Delivers their tasks and processes with limited oversight from management.* Full valid Forklift licenses ( Reach & Counter-Balance) - Advantageous * Good numerical skills.Salary and Benefits * Salary £23,000 to £25,000* Hours 9-5.30pm Monday to Friday* Annual leave; 31 days after 3 years service by 1 day a year, up to a further 5 days. * Volunteer Day: Additional 1 day per year paid to give back to the local community. * Health cash plan service * Pension scheme * Free Parking * Fresh fruit delivered weekly to all offices. * Paid sick leave, after probation. * EAP Program and Virtual Doctor service * Long service financial rewards. * Death In Service benefit of x3 salary
