JOB TITLE: Warehouse Assistant - Temporary to Permanent

LOCATION: Bridgwater, Somerset

HOURLY RATE: £12.21 - £12.84 per hour (DOE)

HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30 pm (1 hour lunch break)

We are recruiting for a reliable and well-organised Warehouse Assistant who has a positive can-do attitude to join a family run business who take pride in creating a working environment where all can excel and progress. You will be working within a welcoming and long-standing team who continue to work together incredibly well to ensure they remain an award-winning business in their sector. This role is starting immediately and initially on a temporary basis with the view to become permanent.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Picking and packing trade and retail orders
• Recording all products packed
• Ensuring orders are sent in the correct packaging
• Keeping the warehouse in a tidy order
• General manual handling and lifting duties as required
• Operating pallet trucks and forklift trucks once trained (unless you already hold a forklift license)
• Stock taking as required
• Occasionally delivering products and setting up for exhibitions and events

Essential skills and qualities:

• Previous warehouse experience is preferable
• Excellent team player
• Flexible approach to work
• Ideally hold a forklift license although training can be provided
• Computer literate
• Reliable with good time keeping
