Location: YorkHours: 35 hours per week across a 7-day rotaSalary: Up to £52,591 per annum (DOE)Sector: Neurorehabilitation / Brain Injury

Are you a motivated and experienced RMN or RNLD ready to lead a dynamic clinical team in neurorehabilitation? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking healthcare organisation providing life-changing support for individuals with acquired brain injuries.

You’ll lead a dedicated nursing team in delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a specialist neurorehabilitation ward. This role offers the chance to make a measurable impact on patient recovery while developing your leadership and operational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical and operational leadership to nursing and support staff

  • Ensure safe, effective care delivery and patient goal achievement

  • Oversee admissions, discharge planning, and communication across MDTs

  • Champion a learning and reflective culture across the team

  • Manage risk, safeguarding, and uphold compliance with the Mental Health Act and NMC guidelines

  • Drive performance through effective rostering, recruitment, and staff development

  • Act as a clinical role model, maintaining high standards and mentoring staff and students

Requirements:

  • RMN or RNLD with current NMC registration

  • Proven experience managing a ward or large clinical team

  • Strong knowledge of clinical governance and risk assessment

  • Ability to lead, inspire, and develop staff in a person-centred environment

  • Confident in working with complex care and rehabilitation cases

  • Mentorship in Practice (MIP) qualification or willingness to undertake

  • Skilled in written and verbal communication across all levels

  • Ability to work flexibly, including on-call duties and unsociable hours

  • Awareness of safeguarding, infection control, and record-keeping standards

  • Able to challenge constructively, promote wellbeing, and support a safe, positive team culture
