Location: Oaks Hospital, Colchester

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time

Salary: Depending on experience + Benefits

Summary:Oaks Hospital is one of Essex's leading private hospitals with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality private hospital treatments and services.

Located on the outskirts of Colchester, the hospital opened on this site in 1994 and currently has 57 bedrooms including three twin-bedded rooms all with en-suite facilities to ensure complete privacy throughout your stay.

The role:

We currently have a excellent opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our team at our Oaks Hospital, based in Colchester.

As the Ward Clerk, you will be expected to be a part of our busy Ward and Admin team. You will be dealing with our computer system - Maxims, as well as ensuring contemporaneous medical folders while patients are in with us. You will also be expected to answer the phone to patients and visitors and be able to field the calls appropriately.

As the Ward Clerk you will ensure that all admin processes are adhered to in a timely and professional manner. On a daily basis you will keep patient’s paperwork up to date, accurate and support the wider Ward team with effectively managing all admin for the department.

  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover the needs of the department/hospital
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • Previous experience of having worked in a hospital setting
