Job Description :

As a Waking-Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to individuals during the night hours. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of the individuals under your care throughout the night. This position requires compassion, patience, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Supervision:Maintain regular checks on individuals throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being.Monitor any changes in behavior, health, or condition of individuals and report to the appropriate personnel.Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents that may arise during the night.

Assistance and Support:Provide assistance with personal care tasks if required, such as toileting, changing, or repositioning individuals.Offer emotional support and companionship to individuals who may be awake during the night.Administer medication according to individual care plans and protocols.

Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of observations, incidents, and any interventions carried out during the night.Complete handover reports to ensure smooth communication with day staff and other relevant team members.Follow all policies and procedures regarding confidentiality and data protection.

Team Collaboration:o Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide holistic care and support to individuals.o Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision sessions as required.o Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and a cohesive approach to support.

Qualifications and Skills:* Previous experience in a similar role or a willingness to undergo training.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.* Strong observational skills and attention to detail.* A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.* Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.* Relevant certifications or qualifications in health and social care may be advantageous.

Working Conditions:* This is a night-shift position.* The role involves working in residential settings* You may be required to work alone for extended periods, necessitating a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
