New Start is a family-run, not-for-profit organisation, providing residential and supported accommodation services for vulnerable adults, families, children, and young people. We deliver a diverse range of homelessness projects and temporary housing solutions, helping some of the most complex and disadvantaged groups across Merseyside. The services we provide aim to enhance lives by offering good quality homes and structured support; encouraging clients to achieve independence and engage in constructive opportunities which will enable them to live a more fulfilled and enriched existence.
Waking Night Recovery Practitioner
Have you had experience working in treatment and recovery services? Do you hold the necessary people skills to confidently support people in a 24/7 accommodation-based recovery service during the evening through to the following morning? Would a 4-nights on, 4-nights off shift pattern suit your employment availability? If so, then we have a fantastic vacancy opportunity for a Waking Night Recovery Practitioner to work at our second stage recovery Step-down service in Liverpool.
The Step-down service forms part of Liverpool’s Recovery Pathway (RISE), the city’s treatment and recovery services offer. Sitting at the end of the pathway the service offers 18 weeks of recovery support that has followed on from a prior 18 weeks of treatment/rehabilitation support at the adjacent site next door - delivered by our RISE partners YMCA Together. The two sites work in collaboration to deliver a bespoke and modernised treatment/recovery offer via programs and frameworks that are trauma aware and psychologically informed. Each site benefits from high spec accommodation that provides environments that are safe and secure in which clients can positively thrive whilst moving through their recovery journey…with the goal of greater independence and a more permanent housing solution in sight.
The successful candidate’s role will focus upon supporting vulnerable males and females who live at the Step-down service alongside managing the building and ensuring the site remains safe.
