Vehicle Technician - IHK ENTERPRISE LTD : Job Details

IHK Enterprise is a car dealership, based in Rowhook, Horsham. We deal in a wide variety of cars.

We have our own in-store garage, with 2 ramps, a scissor lift and tyre changing facility.

We stock approximately 80 cars and are continuously growing.

It is our aim to prepare our vehicles prior to sale to ensure the car is mechanically sound.

We receive cars from a variety of sources. These vehicles can range from being completely sound with no work required to the other end of the scale where the engine may need overhauling.

Ideally we are looking for candidates who have both experience and capabilities to do the most extensive work. Their salary rate will be reflected.

If a candidate has less capability and experience and is willing to learn then we can accommodate our sourcing of vehicles to reflect this and so, the complexity of the work demanded would be less. Of course for candidates of less experience and less current ability, their starting wage would reflect this and be closer to the £30000 mark.

Duties and responsibilities

• to diagnose vehicles for any potential issues already present or upcoming
• to prepare cars for customer usage and up to MOT standards
• to keep track of the work completed and notify of any issues arisen
• to work alongside other team members either to assist or receive assistance

Experience and qualifications

• Level 2 mechanics course and above
• minimum 2 years experience
• For candidates for less experience than this, applications are still welcome to performance assistance/learning roles
