Exciting opportunity to join a global healthcare business based in Wythenshawe as a VAT Accountant. This role will offer a salary of £35,000-£42,000 depending on experience.

Client Details

Michael Page are working with a highly successful, industry leading business going through a period of continued growth. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their dynamic Finance team as a VAT Accountant.

Description

Duties include:

• Preparing periodic UK and European VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
• Handling monthly Intrastat and ESCL reporting for European VAT registrations
• Performing pre- and post-submission audit checks
• Reconciling VAT returns to balance sheet and other returns
• Maintaining complete indirect tax records
• Collaborating with stakeholders within the wider finance team and across the business
• Engaging in automation initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency of the indirect tax function
• Assisting with both internal and external audits

Profile

The candidate will have/be:

• Part qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• A strong understanding and direct experience of VAT
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Previous Oracle experience - Desirable
• High attention to detail and levels of accuracy
