Upholster - The Curve Group : Job Details

We have a current opportunity for a Upholsterer on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Northampton.

Upholsterer

Mon - Fri 6.30 am - 3.00 pm

Up to £13.50 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime available if wanted (evenings and weekends)

We are looking to recruit a highly skilled and experienced upholsterer to join the upholstery team at a leading global furniture group renowned for blending minimalist Scandinavian and robust British design.

What you'll be doing

• Handcrafting upholstered products to a consistently high standard, delivering quality work within agreed timescales
• Making sure every piece of furniture leaving the workshop meets the department's exacting quality standards
• Creating accurate patterns and templates that account for the unique characteristics of different fabrics and materials
• Interpreting design briefs and applying the most effective upholstery methods to bring each piece to life

Experience/Skills

• Proven expertise in high-quality soft seating upholstery
• Strong pattern and template-making skills across a wide range of fabrics and materials
• The ability to take a design brief and translate it into practical, effective upholstery solutions
• A collaborative approach, working closely with colleagues in other departments to keep production smooth and customer commitments on track
