Underwriting Assistant - Entertainment Insurance - £35,000-£40,000 – Hybrid 3 days in City HQ

Our Client are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic Underwriting Assistant to join their team at a leading UK-based insurance broker specialising in film, television, music and sport insurance. The Underwriting Assistant will provide administrative and technical support to the underwriting teams, ensuring efficient processing of new business, renewals, endorsements, and general policy servicing. The role helps underwriters assess risks, maintain accurate records, and deliver excellent service to brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.

Underwriting Assistant - Entertainment Insurance Broker - Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, issue, and maintain policy documentation, endorsements, certificates and related correspondence.
  • Assist underwriters in gathering information for risk review and assessment.
  • Ensure underwriting files are complete, compliant, and audit-ready.
  • Respond to broker queries, provide documentation, and escalate complex matters to underwriters.
  • Assist with producing reports and management information as required.
  • Develop relationships with brokers and stakeholders.
  • Producing and quality checking monthly Risk & Premium Bordereaux.
  • Support adherence to regulatory and company guidelines, including KYC, sanctions checks, and internal audit requirements.
  • Input, update and verify underwriting data into internal systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Provide general assistance to underwriters and wider business, helping to manage workflow and meet service level agreements.

Underwriting Assistant - Entertainment Insurance Broker - Key Requirements / Skills / Expertise:

  • London market experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skill preferable.
  • Experience in (or passion of) the entertainment industry or the arts.
  • Multilingual candidates desirable.
  • 3-4 days a week in the London Office, near Lloyd’s with the remaining time WFH. Five days a week in the office is an option if preferred.
  • Support for CII qualifications is provided
