Due to continued growth, Reed have partnered with a global, award winning, family founded professional services firm based near Clifton Triangle, Bristol. Recruiting for an Underwriting Administrator, on a full time, permanent basis.

Hybrid working: After first couple of weeks of training and onboarding Hours: Mon – Fri. 9-5 – 35 hour week

This opportunity would be great for an Administrator looking to take a step into the insurance/underwriting sector. The role could offer natural progression as you develop into roles such as Underwriting or Credit Control.

DutiesProviding general administrative support to the Underwriting departmentUpon receiving amendments to clients policies, check to see if can approve theseEnsure correct set up of premium detailsAssist with new application referralsReview any applications that don’t meet acceptance criteriaAssist solicitors to ensure policies are accurateUpon successful case, ensure premiums are applied correctlyBuild rapport with solicitors, fee earners and other important stakeholders you work closely withRespond promptly to queries relating to details of claims and questions on payment

About youMinimum 1 years experience in administration Strong communication skills – Liaising between a range of stakeholders both face to face, email and telephoneWell organised, as will be managing a number of casesAble to manage your time efficientlyStrong both verbally and numericallyProficient with IT, Microsoft Office, ExcelAn interest in a career in insurance is not essential
