Our client is looking to recruit an Intermediate Transport Planner into their Fareham office. Role Overview

• Prepare and occasionally check Transport Statements, Technical Notes, Travel Plans and Access Appraisals.
• Contribute to Transport Assessments, Modelling Notes and drawings, ensuring outputs are accurate and require minimal amendments.
• Undertake traffic surveys, trip generation analysis and transport modelling (AutoCAD, TRICs, ARCADY/PICADY, etc).
• Carry out access appraisals, visibility splays and tracking diagrams, proposing practical solutions for scheme development.
• Attend site visits independently and provide professional feedback to clients and project teams.
• Liaise with local highway authorities, architects and planners, representing the company at meetings and occasional public consultations.
• Support project delivery across multiple sectors and manage small to medium projects with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Assist in preparing fee proposals and contribute to business development/networking events where required.

Requirements

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related subject.
• 2+ years' experience in transport planning within consultancy or local authority.
• Developing knowledge of design standards, planning policy and transport methodologies.
• Experience with AutoCAD, TRICs and transport modelling packages.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload, work independently and as part of a team.
• Actively working towards professional membership (e.g., CIHT, TPS, ICE).
