Transport Planner

This is a Transport Planner role for someone with experience of a Transport Planner role and who is keen to progress towards a Transport Manager role. The Role - Transport Planner

• Reporting to the Operations Manager.
• Utilising the transport management software to ensure that the scheduling of 20 trucks nationwide is carried out effectively and efficiently to achieve the optimum transport plan. The planning tends to be detailed and interesting, this is not just moving boxes, it tends to be bespoke loads.
• Plan to ensure that customer service criteria requirements are met at all times.
• Liaise closely with the Warehouse and Cargo team to achieve the most effective plan.

Ideal candidate - Transport Planner

• Previous experience of HGV Transport Planning
• Experience within a logistics working environment
• Someone who enjoys busy, and working with others in a cohesive, positive environment
• Good geographical knowledge of UK.
• Reliable, enthusiastic and flexible in approach.
• Experience of the shipping industry and VBS system would be an advantage
• Working knowledge of TMS systems and warehouse management systems would be advantageous although full training will be given.
