Role Overview
This salaried, full-time position (35 hours per week) is permanently remote based, though travel is required to Birmingham and other UK locations. As an FS Training Consultant, you will support and develop Financial Services staff, including FCA-certified colleagues, playing a pivotal role in shaping their growth and success.
A primary focus of this role is to enhance and deliver the onboarding programme, ensuring new hires begin their journey with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive. Your responsibilities will extend to the ongoing development of staff, balancing expert training with vital support to ensure both individual and organisational excellence.
Main Responsibilities
- Scoping & Managing Training & Development Plans: Collaborate with business areas to identify training needs for new colleagues, conduct analyses to spot learning gaps, and develop strategic plans to address them.
- Onboarding New Colleagues: Design, deliver, and assess high-quality, engaging onboarding programmes, both remotely and through in-person workshops.
- Upskilling Existing Staff: Create and facilitate blended learning solutions (direct delivery or through Train the Trainer), ensuring managers can embed learning into ongoing performance.
- Evaluation: Develop and implement robust methods to validate the effectiveness of training activities.
- Quality Assurance: Partner with subject matter experts to maintain up-to-date, accurate training materials in line with Company's People Development standards.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a motivational and inspiring professional with a deep commitment to development and learning, who possesses:
- A recognised minimum Level 4 financial services qualification (e.g., CII Diploma in Financial Planning).
- Proven success in training and coaching within a regulated financial advice environment.
- Experience designing and delivering a variety of training solutions (including digital content such as Rise and Articulate, remote sessions, and face-to-face workshops).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative frameworks in financial services.
- Experience using or training on investment platforms.
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Proven ability to set direction, motivate, and develop teams or individuals to meet operational objectives.
