Training & Competency (T&C) Supervisor – Private Client Wealth Management

Location: City of London (Hybrid: 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

A rare opportunity has arisen for a skilled Training & Competency Supervisor to join a prestigious private bank offering high-touch service across private banking, investment management, and wealth planning. This is a high-impact role within a specialist technical team, based in newly refurbished offices in the City of London.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring that regulated advisers deliver the highest possible standard of advice through expert coaching, supervision, and the robust implementation of the firm’s T&C framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and maintain the competence of regulated advisers across Private Banking, Investment Management, and Wealth Planning.
  • Deliver observations, file reviews, and KPI analysis in line with the firm’s T&C policy.
  • Develop and coach advisers, including those on route to competence, with a focus on quality, conduct, and delivery.
  • Act as an escalation point for issues related to adviser conduct, thematic risk, or suitability concerns.
  • Produce meaningful MI, contribute to T&C scheme governance, and help shape firmwide regulatory training.
What We're Looking For:
  • Proven experience in a T&C supervisory role within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including COBS, ICOBS, and MCOB.
  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice (RDR compliant) is essential. J07 or equivalent supervision qualification desirable.
  • Background in regulated advice and coaching of front-line advisers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
