Trainee Recruitment Consultant

Year 1 salary £26,000 + £14,000 commission (OTE £40,000) + benefits

What is the job of a Graduate Recruitment Consultant?

• Partnering with clients and consulting companies on their hiring strategies
• Negotiation with clients and securing retained and exclusive roles to recruit
• Building long term relationships with companies and hiring managers
• Networking with potential candidates
• Headhunting the top tier candidates in your specialist industry
• Securing interviews between clients and candidates
• Securing offers and the best packages possible for your candidates
• Placing candidates with companies and ensuring both parties receive an excellent service throughout the process from end-to-end

What experience do you need to become a Graduate Recruitment Consultant?

• 1:1 or 2:1 from Top 50 UK University
• Work experience alongside studies (preferably internships, commercial experience or sales experience)
• Track record of showing a good work ethic and mentality towards work (e.g. securing part-time paid work whilst studying or working long hours)
• Achievements outside of academia (involved in sports, drama or other societies)
• Confident, goal oriented and strong interpersonal/people skills
