Job Title: Trainee Laser Operator

Location: Sheffield Site

Salary: £12.50 - £15 per hour DOE

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the role:

• Assist in the operation of laser cutting equipment under the guidance of experienced operators.
• Learn to set up machine parameters to support optimal cutting results.
• Observe and monitor the cutting process to gain understanding of accuracy and efficiency requirements.
• Support routine maintenance tasks and help identify basic equipment issues.
• Participate in inspecting finished parts for quality and report any defects.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

About you:

• A willingness to learn and develop technical skills in laser cutting operations.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in manufacturing processes.
• An ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• The ability or willingness to learn to interpret engineering drawings.
• A commitment to workplace safety and following company procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to grow within a manufacturing environment.
