Trainee Finance Assistant - Robert Half : Job Details

Robert Half are working in partnership with a reputable company in Chippenham to recruit a Trainee Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. This is great opportunity for a recent school or college leaver that is looking for their first role within finance, as it will provide great exposure to the accounts payable process as well as other areas of transactional accounting. The Trainee Finance Assistant role offers a x4 day working week and then x1 day towards day release to study AAT at a local college. This is a very unique opportunity within an established company and the role will be a part of an experienced and supportive finance team. The salary is between £22,000 - £25,000 and other excellent benefits.

The Role

The main duties of the Trainee Finance Assistant role will consist of:

• Processing invoices; matching purchase orders, inputting and making amendments.
• Statement reconciliations.
• Liaising with suppliers and dealing with queries.
• Processing expenses.
• Managing the accounts payable inbox.
• Credit card reconciliations.
• Processing payments.

Requirements

To be considered for the Trainee Finance Assistant role, you must ideally possess the following skills/attributes:

• A recent school or college leaver that is looking to establish a career within finance.
• Willing to study towards AAT.
• Good attention to detail.
• Good team player.
• Strong communication skills.
• Computer literate.
