Trainee Debt Advisor - Angel Advance Ltd : Job Details

What's in it for you:

Salary: £24,000 per annum with progression to a Debt Advisor role at £25,500 once performance and development competencies are met.

Location: Birchwood, Warrington (WA3 7PB) — must live within 30 minute commute.

Shifts: Mon-Fri – 3 shifts 09:00-17:00 & 2 shifts 11:00-19:00. Saturday cover: 1 in 4 rota (overtime paid)

About the role:

As a Trainee Debt Advisor, you will work as part of our Debt Advice Team to support with the delivery of high quality debt advice to our customers while gaining wider experience of the delivery of debt advice and providing excellent customer service to clients, helping them to make a real change to their lives!

You'll be part of our Debt Advice Team and help customers take control of their finances. As Trainee Debt Advisor, you’ll:

• Speak to potential customers by phone, email and SMS about their financial situation.
• Complete assessments and recommend appropriate debt-solutions.
• Process applications and follow up with customers.
• Attend coaching and training to develop into a full Debt Advisor
• Provide advice that puts the customer’s interests first and ensure all information is clear, fair and not misleading.

What you'll bring:

• At least 1 year’ experience in customer service (phone/email).
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – comfortable on the phone, writing structured emails & texts.
• Ability to multitask, work to deadlines and prioritise your workload.
• Willingness to learn in a regulated debt-advice environment.
• Must live or be able to reliably commute within ~30 minutes of Birchwood, Warrington WA3.

• Experience in financial services or debt-advice sector.
• Previous experience working in a target-driven environment.
