Trainee Customs Clerk. - HR GO Recruitment : Job Details

Hrgo are seeking a Trainee Customs Clearance Clerk for our Client based in the Dover area. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. This role will suit a candidate that has an interest within the transport and customs clearance industry. Full training and support will be given for this role.

Duties include:

Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment

Processing Import/Export declarations

Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates and any other documentation requirements

Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures

Hours / Shifts are as follows -

Week 1

Mon, Tuesday 8am -8pm

Fri, Sat and Sun 8am-8pm

Week 2

Wed, Thurs - 8am-8pm.
