Trainee Practice Accountant

Reed Accountancy is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Trainee Practice Accountant. This role is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who are beginning their career in accountancy and are seeking hands-on experience in a nurturing and professional setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
• Support with bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll processing.
• Help with tax computations and submissions for both personal and corporate clients.
• Liaise with clients to gather financial information and resolve queries.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Utilize accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage to manage client accounts.
• Participate in internal training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• A strong interest in accountancy and finance.
• Currently studying or planning to study towards AAT/ACCA/ACA qualifications.
• Good IT skills, particularly in Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
