Michael Page are delighted to be working exclusively with a long standing client, who are actively searching for a Trainee/Graduate Accountant to join their team in East Leeds on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a dynamic, ambitious and driven individual that is looking to take the first step in their Finance career. If you are a graduate, or have gained over 6 months experience in a transactional finance role this the perfect opportunity for you! The successful candidate will gain invaluable exposure to transactional and management accountant duties, and progress quickly in their career and further accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA). My client is well known for a friendly and sociable working environment, that focuses on providing top quality training for their employees.

Description

• Assist with updating the excel bank statement daily
• Uploading customer invoices to Sage
• Responsible for uploading bank statement, and reconciling bank accounts
• Maintenance of customer ledgers in Sage
• Setting up new accounts
• Accounting correctly for indemnity claims
• Responsible for updating historical transactions in the weekly cashflow report
• Contribute to the analysis of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team as needed.

Profile

A successful Trainee Accountant should have:

• Have recently graduated from a Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or relevant degree. OR have gained 6+months in an entry level/transactional finance assistant position.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Be ambitious, driven and motivated to learn and develop
• An interest in completing a professional accounting qualification. (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)

Job Offer

• A competitive salary range of £25,500 to £28,000, depending on experience.
• Study Support in AAT, ACCA or CIMA
• 9:00am - 5:00pm working hours, 37.5hr working week
• Free parking on site
• Fully office based role
