A 12 month FTC contract has arisen within a Trade Finance Operations team at a leading financial institution. This position focuses on Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit (SBLCs), providing an excellent opportunity for a professional with trade finance experience to deepen their expertise in an area that combines technical precision with client interaction.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing a range of guarantee and SBLC transactions from initiation through to settlement.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries and providing guidance on specialised or complex cases.
- Ensuring all documentation and processing complies with global trade standards.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring clients are regularly updated on progress.
- Collaborating with other teams to ensure a smooth delivery of trade finance services.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and strengthen operational controls.
What we’re looking for
- Strong background in trade finance, ideally with hands-on experience of guarantees or standby LCs.
- Familiarity with international trade rules and their practical application.
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident in managing multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, able to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and an aptitude for working with financial systems.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach combined with the ability to work independently.
