Tour Advisor
- Annual Salary: £32,000, rising to £34,000 after a successful 3-month probation OTE is up to 60k
- Location: Hybrid (with options to work from home during specific shifts)
- Job Type: Full-time, 1 week of shifts Monday to Friday 8.30-5.30 and 1 week of shifts 3.00pm-10.30pm (can work from home on this shift) with 2 weekend days a month either Sat/Sun 9-5 (day back in lieu during the week)
We are seeking an experienced Tour/Travel Advisor to join our client a top recruiter in the York area. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for travel and a knack for sales, aiming to deliver world-class customer service and maximise every sales opportunity. The position involves a mix of office and remote work on certain shifts.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver sales by maximising the conversion rate of telephone enquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to establish loyalty and encourage repeat business.
- Handle both inbound and outbound calls in a professional manner, achieving sales targets.
- Assist visitors in the office by guiding them through the booking process during face-to-face appointments.
- Process orders accurately and promptly without compromising customer experience.
- Promote and upsell premium products and services, supporting marketing initiatives such as special offers.
- Continuously develop professional skills, particularly in areas like communication, brand awareness, and product knowledge.
- Provide feedback and suggestions to management to enhance overall performance and efficiency.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required within the role.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a travel/tourism role, meeting deadlines and targets.
- Strong interest and enthusiasm in travel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in IT, including Microsoft Windows, Office, Outlook, and Explorer.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience in telephone sales, ideally handling inbound calls.
