The Role

We are seeking a hands-on Toolroom Manager to lead a team of 14 highly skilled Toolmakers in a busy, well-equipped toolroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior Toolmaker or experienced Manager ready to take ownership of daily operations, support new projects, and maintain the company’s high standards of quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily activities of the Toolroom team
• Plan workloads, delegate tasks, and ensure deadlines are met
• Oversee the manufacture, modification, and fitting of injection mould tools
• Maintain high standards of quality, precision, and safety
• Provide technical mentorship and hands-on support
• Operate manual and CNC machines as needed
• Collaborate with other departments on project timelines
• Drive continuous improvement across tooling processes

Toolroom Equipment Includes:

• CNC machining centres
• Wire and spark erosion (EDM)
• Surface and cylindrical grinders
• Manual mills, lathes, and precision tools

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in injection mould toolmaking
• Leadership experience in a toolroom environment
• Skilled in both manual and CNC machining
• Confident reading technical drawings and working to tight tolerances
• Experience with hot runner systems and tool modifications
• A proactive, quality-focused mindset with strong communication skills
