Are you an experienced HLTA with passion for nurturing young people with additional needs?
We support children from diverse backgrounds, all of whom have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many also have additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.
Our work is both rewarding and complex. As a trauma- and attachment-informed organisation, we provide all staff with comprehensive therapeutic training and ongoing support.
Our collaborative, child-centred approach ensures that education and therapy professionals, families, local authorities, and—most importantly—our students work together to achieve exceptional outcomes.
The RoleYou will play a vital role in fostering a healing, supportive environment. You’ll be part of the school’s leadership team, working holistically to guide and model therapeutic practices that help students thrive.
You will be co-managed by Regional SENCOs and the Therapeutic Development Manager, and will be instrumental in shaping the school’s therapeutic culture.
We’re looking for someone who is calm, empathetic, and experienced in de-escalation strategies. A strong understanding of trauma-informed frameworks and emotional support interventions is essential.
You’ll receive CPD training in our Assessing and Healing Childhood Trauma (AHCT) approach and will help embed this practice across the school community.
