Temporary Maintenance Operative - PMR : Job Details

We are looking for experienced Maintenance Operatives/Handymen to start work asap! The work is based at a Residetal Building in South West London.

About the role:

• Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8.30am to 5pm
• Start Date: ASAP - to work on an ongoing basis.

Duties:

• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs (e.g., fixing leaks, replacing lights, repairing doors).
• Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of communal areas, building systems, and fixtures.
• Ensure communal areas are clean, safe, and free of hazards.
• Test and maintain fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems.
• Follow health and safety regulations and report any risks or incidents.
• Respond promptly to residents' maintenance requests and emergency issues (e.g., leaks, power failures).
• Escalate complex problems to specialist contractors when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in shared spaces (entrances, hallways, gardens).
• Support seasonal tasks like snow removal or minor gardening.
• Log maintenance tasks and report major issues to property management/
• Liaise with contractors and assist with access for repairs or inspections.
