Temporary Accountant

Location: Lincoln

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: 6-month contract

Benjamin Edwards is recruiting for a Temporary Accountant with current payroll experience to support our clients Head of Finance in a small, friendly finance team during a period of transition. This role is ideal for a hands-on, adaptable finance professional who can support the smooth running of both accounting and payroll functions.

• Flexible working hours – Full-time 35 hours (will also consider part-time)

The role of the Temporary Accountant

• Support with various balance sheet accounts including Bank Reconciliation, Accruals, Prepayments, and Fixed Assets
• Variance analysis
• Support with Monthly Reports
• Assistance with Year-end Financial Statements
• Assistance with Year-end external audit 
• Preparation of internal payroll
• Assist with any payroll queries
• Generate sales invoices for payroll recharges
• Reconciliation of payroll reports
• Maintain Payroll customer ledgers, and chase where necessary
• Ad hoc payroll queries 
• VAT Return
• Admin support for associated business – entering bank transactions
• Support with daily transactions (Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger)
