twentyAI are partnering with a leading Financial Services firm who are seeking a Finance Systems Tech Lead to join their Technology team.

This role has been designed as part of a wider transformation of the company’s business systems environment and will focus on leading finance systems strategy and implementation across the organisation.

THE ROLE

The Finance Systems Tech Domain Lead will act as a strategic partner to Finance, Fund Operations, and SPV teams. This is not a hands-on systems role but a senior stakeholder management position, providing vision, leadership, and structure to the company’s finance systems strategy. Working alongside the Head of Business Systems, the successful candidate will define and deliver the roadmap for finance applications and coordinate with external vendors and consultants.

This is a pivotal appointment that offers the opportunity to modernise and scale finance systems within a growing business, while shaping long-term operating models.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and deliver the finance systems roadmap in line with the firm’s strategic objectives.
• Act as the bridge between finance leadership and technology functions, ensuring alignment and scalability.
• Manage and optimize Unit Four and Investran systems, amongst others.
• Manage product life cycles from strategic planning through delivery.
• Oversee vendor relationships and coordinate external consultants for system upgrades and integrations.
• Provide leadership to the finance systems team, ensuring capability and performance across regions.
• Align implementation timelines with financial reporting cycles and business-critical activities.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Significant experience leading finance systems and applications within Private Equity, alternative investments, fintech, or financial services.
• Experience with Unit Four (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of Investran or similar investment management systems
• Strong understanding of financial processes; fund accounting experience advantageous but not essential.
• Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and deliver system change across complex organisations.
• Experience modernising or scaling financial technology in growth or transformation environments.
• Track record of managing external vendors, consultants, and integration partners.
• A product-thinking mindset with ownership, long-term strategy, and scalability at the core.
• Mix of startup and enterprise system experience
