This exciting advisory role of a Technical IFRS/16 Accounting Manager is perfect for a proactive individual with an analytical mind and excellent technical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data, supporting regulations around financial accounting and audits. You will be providing leadership within the accounting department, reporting to a director.

Description

• Review more complex annual statutory accounts (UK GAAP and IFRS accounts) for large varied clients.
• Assist and train junior members of the team and support on technical updates and regulations
• IFRS conversions, implementation of new standards.
• IFRS Statutory account preparation.
• Support with the valuations of share based payments and intangible assets.
• Technical paper and report writing
• Present webinars and presentations
• Implement accounting systems and processes
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the industry's rules and regulations

Profile

A successful Technical Accounting Manager will be an IFRS specialist, will ideally have a full auditing background with large complex international client exposure including group accounts and consolidations.

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• Proven experience in a managerial role within a complex accounting department
• Strong technical international accounting knowledge
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in accounting software including quickbooks and xero
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and new and updated standards
• Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
