Technical Author - VRS Recruitment : Job Details

Our client is an industry-leading scientific instrument manufacturer, delivering products with wide-reaching applications, including biomaterials, batteries, and medical diagnostics.

Seeking an accomplished Author from an engineering or manufacturing environment, you will be ultimately responsible for creating clear, accurate and user-friendly documentation that communicates complex technical information, including written materials, technical specifications, operation procedures and maintenance guides. These will be used to assist end-users and engineers in manufacturing to ensure the effective operation and use of a range of highly technical instrumentation.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A degree in any Scientific, Mechanical or Engineering discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Experience within the technical authoring industry
• The ability to produce hardcopy/online documentation within a manufacturing environment
• Experience using DTP software such as FrameMaker and authoring tools such as MadCap Flare
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
