Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Dorking

Salary up to £33,820 (DOE)

40 hours per week full time

7.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 3.00pm on a Friday

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations, including goods receipt, storage, order picking, packing, and dispatch. They ensure inventory records are accurate, workloads are managed effectively, and high standards of housekeeping and safety are maintained. The role also involves leading and motivating the warehouse team, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting continuous improvement in efficiency and service.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory or deputy experience within a busy warehouse environment, with strong knowledge of goods receipt, dispatch, and warehouse administration. They will be confident in using automated storage systems and consistently work to high health and safety standards. A basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, along with the ability to effectively use in-house programs, is essential.

We are looking for someone with proven ability to identify, implement, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives, targeting waste reduction in line with Lean/Six Sigma methodology and the Bucher Production System (BPS). Experience in automotive parts aftersales, SAP MM/IM, and holding a forklift truck licence would be advantageous.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are key, along with being a team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will take responsibility for their shift, demonstrate flexibility, and lead by example with reliability and a strong work ethic.
